Let’s Be Clear!

Is it just me or is that the most overused phrase ever?

“Let’s be clear” is used just before you’re about to tell someone off, it seems and apparently, everyone wants to tell someone off these days. Is everyone that angry or just in a dire need to be understood?

Why are we all so angry these days?

Is this phrase being used as a way to effectively stand up for ourselves and make sure no one mistakes us for a pushover?

Who invented this phrase and why?

Where are you? Stand up! Make yourself … CLEAR!
